Hi,

I’m Halil Cetiner. I’m a software engineer based in London.

I’m interested in distributed systems, practical engineering, and building software that behaves well under pressure. This site is not only about software, though. I write about things I notice, ideas I want to keep, and sometimes simply to express what I feel in different forms. That is why I call this collection Notes.

Outside work, I enjoy walking around London, with or without a camera, and spending time with my toddler daughter and lovely wife. I also write down some of what catches my attention. I do not publish on a schedule. I put something here when it feels worth keeping.
